System Administrator (TSPV Cleared)

Cleared is partnering with a leading Federal Government organisation to identify an experienced System Administrator with strong Atlassian platform expertise to support critical enterprise service management capabilities within a highly secure environment.

This is an opportunity to work on large-scale Enterprise Service Management (ESM) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) initiatives, helping shape and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing Jira and Confluence environments supporting mission-critical operations.

The Opportunity

As a System Administrator, you will take ownership of the administration, optimisation, and ongoing enhancement of the Atlassian platform stack, including Jira, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence Data Centre. You will work closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to deliver platform improvements, support transformation initiatives, and implement modern DevOps and automation practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, upgrade, and optimise Jira, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence Data Centre environments.
• Perform platform patching, security hardening, performance tuning, and lifecycle management activities.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 operational support and manage Jira-as-a-Service capabilities.
• Gather and translate business requirements into technical Jira and JSM configurations.
• Support Enterprise Service Management (ESM) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platform implementations.
• Assist with legacy platform migrations into JSM, including data mapping, validation, cleansing, and transition activities.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support artefacts.
• Deploy and manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop automation and administration scripts using Python and PowerShell.
• Support DevOps initiatives, including source control, configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines.

Essential Experience

• Minimum five years' experience in Systems Administration.
• Strong experience administering Jira Service Management, Jira Data Centre, Confluence, or similar enterprise service management platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale service management and asset management capabilities.
• Proven experience delivering upgrades, migrations, patching activities, and ongoing platform administration.
• Experience providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Python, PowerShell, Git, source control, and CI/CD practices.

Highly Desirable

• Atlassian Data Centre administration experience.
• Enterprise Service Management (ESM) transformation experience.
• Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) implementation experience.
• DevOps and infrastructure automation expertise.
• Experience within Federal Government, National Security, Intelligence, or Defence environments.

Security Clearance

A current TSPV (Top Secret Positive Vetting) security clearance is mandatory.

Candidates without an active TSPV clearance are unable to be considered for this opportunity.
